Dental implants are an excellent solution from the aesthetic viewpoint,
which is also one of the important reasons why the dental clinic has
many years' experience in the field of implantology. No tooth replacement can provide a more natural simulation of human teeth. At the same time, implants are fixed into place and offer a high level of functionality. They provide a solution to every initial condition, irrespective of whether this is a single missing tooth, a large gap, a free-end condition (missing rear molars) or a completely toothless jaw. Dental implants can also prevent degeneration of the bone in the jaw and collapse of the gingiva. This is frequently a problem with removable dentures. Such prosthetic appliances need to be "relined" at regular intervals because bone and tissue can degenerate when the load applied is reduced. Such degeneration can also give the impression that the face is "sunken".
The dental crown or bridge mounted on the implant, the so-called superstructure, is produced in the in-house dental laboratory in the clinics. The dental technicians mainly use full ceramic materials for this purpose. The advantage of full ceramics is that such materials are very similar in colour and effect to the substance of natural teeth. They have a certain transparent appearance and can scarcely be distinguished from natural teeth when light falls on them directly. The dental technician is also always present when a patient attends
appointments for treatment in the clinic. In this way, he is able to
gain his own personal impression of the patient's wishes and ideas which
can then subsequently be implemented in his work.
